So here I am....

My name is Kelly; I am a married housewife/part time bookkeeper and most importantly a mum to my two beautiful children. My professional background is IT and Customer Services and has been for the last 11yrs, however, after having my son I decided that my priorities had changed and with the help of my husband and family I would give up full time work and concentrate on looking after my children full time.

Now for all mothers who have left a full on position in a very successful company will know that going from spread sheets to nappies takes a while to get used to. So for the past 4yrs I have been looking after my two beautiful children and in my somewhat limited spare time doing bookkeeping and crafting to keep my mind active. I have in the past tried different projects, starting with anything easy that I could do without having to go out and buy a lot of expensive equipment, tools or craft items and it was during this time that I came across sock puppets and grew a love for these little creatures. I love the simplicity of them and yet you could make them into something incredibly intricate, interesting, different and unique every time. I have continued to create these little creatures for friends and family and it was because of these and numerous people telling me that I should sell them that I actually began to think about it seriously.

Alongside these creations I have also tried my hand at using wire and buttons in creating stunning gifts which again the simplicity of the items are favourable and yet they are incredibly beautiful and surprisingly not that easy to create and can be very time consuming. This has not put me off in anyway as I believe that the most simple things in life are the things that we all take for granted and yet these are the things that evolve into some of the most beautiful of gifts.

So I have talked about two main ideas that I will be creating for my new business and yet there is another creation that I will be championing as I believe that not only is the idea of this item a practical one it is also environmentally and economical due to reusing something that a lot of people would just discard or pay for someone to remove. So my idea is this... create something beautiful from something ugly and that is an ottoman/footstool using cars and motorcycle tyres.

So for last 4 years my father has been running a very successful motorcycle service and repair
