Desirée Green (she/her) is a writer, director, and producer. But like many starving artists, fits the stereotype of the part-time, under-paid, food industry worker (barista). With a focus on writing, she has used her time at Ryerson working on spec scripts, one of which received a Tara nomination in the category of “Best Narrative Script/Written Project”. She has also developed several projects ranging from a dramatic thriller to a short investigative documentary and even an original dramedy web series.

Being a part of the last generation of kids who played outside, she decided to spend most it reading. Her brief years in cult-ish fandoms led her to develop an interest in creating children’s and young adult content. With this focus, the next generation she hopes to be a part of is, the next generation of great Canadian storytellers.
