Desire' Lynn Nesmith is currently pursuing a degree in Public Relations at UT Arlington. She has interests in community management and event planning. Through her college coursework, she has developed strong writing and communications skills, and an understanding of the importance of effective communication through multimedia platforms. She recently became a Certified Corporate Event Planner through the UTA Continuing Education program.

On campus she is involved with the UTA PRSSA Chapter, Women in Leadership, and the Association for Women in Communication. Currently she is the Corporate Communications intern at Dean Foods Co. Previously she has completed internships with the City of Arlington and Lena Pope Home.

Nesmith is dedicated to being involved in and having a positive impact within the Arlington/Fort Worth/Dallas communities. She is currently pursuing opportunities that will lead to full-time employment following her graduation in May 2017. She looks forward to gaining more PR experience and being exposed to the variety of industries one can succeed in with a degree in Communications.
