"Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." - Mahatma Gandhi

Desy is a visionary who loves learning from others and making real impact in other people's lives.

She was awarded the WeAreTheCity Rising Stars Award 2018 in the Technology industry category.

As an Indonesian young lady who moved to the UK on her own to study and presently work, she has faced a number of challenges in life. She has gone from being a victim of bullying, failing at university, getting rejected from over 100 job applications, doubting herself, to discovering her self-worth.

Desy's life purpose is to create a world where self-fulfilment becomes the norm and not the exception; where people firstly believe that they too could become happy, successful and achieve their dreams, and secondly take action to get where they want to be.

In her day job, she works in Technology Consulting helping clients undergo digital transformations. Focusing in Enterprise Integrations, she has used tools such as Dell Boomi and MuleSoft to build a network of applications that communicate with each other. Her job allows her to travel to London 4 days a week while living in Belfast.

Desy is a City Leader at Women Who Code (WWCode) Belfast, which is a non-profit organisation dedicated to inspiring women to excel in technology careers. She is responsible for organising meetups, building relationships with local companies and organisations, and building a strong WWCode community.

Desy also co-founded Women of Indonesia (WIN) Career Network and acts as the Events VP. WIN is a non-profit global network aiming to empower Indonesian women in achieving their professional objectives.

In her free time, she is learning Japanese, Spanish, and attending singing lessons. She also enjoys playing games, eating, travelling and cooking.
