W. Evelyn Martin-Woods possessed the desire to write novels as a teenager. She imparted the literary gift to her children: York Martin, Deborah Faye Martin, and DeVan Faye Brittenum-Nom de Plume. As a family unit, they collaborated on several writing projects. They are the authors of the following novels: Pimpology: The Macking Game, Bitter Fruit: The Street Ministry, Beast: The Domestic Violence Demon, Taboo: The Spiritual Origin of the Coronavirus.
