A twenty year old daydreamer, I hope to be the Margaret Fuller of my time.
I am a third year undergraduate studying Law and Business Studies in the University of Warwick. Though I absolutely love my course and would not trade it for any other, neither do I see myself practicing Law nor do I hope to make it big in the corporate world. I see myself as a Journalist- a quirky, driven intellectual chasing after all the controversial, glamorous, agonizing and thought provoking stories of the World.
I am an ardent reader and a passionate writer. I read just about anything, be it a novel, memoir, essay or poem. My all time favorites are Henry James' Portrait of a Lady and Yasunari Kawabata's Snow Country. Having written habitually as a student, I have slacked a bit in the last few years. I intend to start writing once again and maintain my own blog. In the past, I have worked with school newspapers, won short story competitions and have produced a few poems.
An advocate of human rights, equality and international development, I an active participant in some of the leading forums of the University. I have helped organized conferences and have had an opportunity to interact with a number of notable individuals and humanitarian workers.
I love travelling- new places excite me. As a child, I almost never stayed in the same city for more than three years and spent every summer travelling to exotic locations. I have an endless list of "to see places" before I die and I am determined to explore every inch of the globe.
I believe that this is only the beginning of the adventure called life and I hope to do it justice, so that fifty years from now, when I am seventy and old, I have abundant tales and personal accounts to bore my grandchildren with.
