I am a Grade 9 English Teacher at Sisler High School and a lifelong writer, being published in many local newspapers, magazines and books, the Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy, as well as a chapter in “Education and Technology: Manitoba Action and Reflection: A snapshot of educational technology use and thought in Manitoba in 2016.”

I believe passionately in student-centred education that allows students to create and be creative as well as develop their skills in critical thinking and problem solving. I hope that when students leave my classes, they consider themselves to be independent learners that can use strategic thinking to solve challenging tasks.
