Devinder Sharma

Devinder Sharma is a distinguished food and trade policy analyst. An award-winning Indian journalist, writer, thinker, and researcher well-known and respected for his views on food and trade policy, biodiversity and biotechnology, and poverty and hunger.

From journalism, he gradually moved on to policy analysis, and is today regarded as a thought leader and a leading pioneer in green economics – continuing his relentless efforts in advocacy, campaign and has made positive interventions at the grassroots to show 'another India is possible'.

He has also been on the forefront of the ongoing battle against corruption, as a member of the erstwhile Team Anna and is a strong supporter of Swami Ramdev's campaign against black money.

The Indian weekly magazine The Week in its Independent Day Special (issue dated Aug 16, 2009) had listed him among the 25 Most Valuable Indians, calling him Green Chomsky.
