Devon Pierre

Hello hello everyone.

I've created my own info page to go with mine and Steven's Flexoligists blog, so that you guys can know a little bit about us personally.

I'm 21 and just graduated from university this year. I came out with a Bachelor of Arts and Community Studies degree with a concentration in Sports Management. I have high hopes in getting a job in the fitness field but I've had zero luck yet.. (fingers crossed). For the time being I'm studying to write my personal training ceritification test. Yes, I could do a weekend one but I decided to choose one with more work to it so I can learn more (CPTN).

My boyfriend, Steven (who is amazing by the way), and I began Flexoligists on August 14th, 2014. We're knew to the blogging game so bare with us until we get er all figured out!

Him and I go to the gym at least 4 times a week. We usually go together unless our schedules don't jive well. Steven works backshift full time and I bartend part time, so it's sometimes hard to get to the gym without him taking a snooze between reps (hehe kidding).

Now to talk about my gymming background...

I've played university soccer for 4 years and had been taught CARDIO, CARDIO, CARDIO. So when I went to the gym that's basically all I did, with a couple weights here and there. Then I began going to the gym with Steven and I love it SO much more. For two main reasons: 1) I'm seeing some awesome and pleasing results, and 2) I get to spend more time with my main slice :) When we began gymming back in March we did mainly weight training and we still do to this day. We both play summer soccer (2 games a week) and that's all the cardio we do. I ain't complaining. Cardio stinks if you ask me!! (although, yes, still very important.........)

I'll go into great detail here so that you can all know where I began and where I'm at now. I'll possibly post photos, check back later alligator! Alrighty, so before the gym I weighed between 120-124lbs and now I weigh, on average, 110lbs. I'm 5'6" so that makes me pretty slim for my height. My goal now is to build more muscle and weigh a bit more so I look more "fit" and opposed to "skinny". I was astonished as I watched what fat I did have, whither away. Over the years I would KILL myself on the treadmill to try to get rid of that last bit of belly fat or love handles but they just wouldn't go. Turns out all I had to do was pick up some weights.
