Dewan Rakibul Islam

Mr. Dewan Rakibul Islam is a dedicated and highly capable young man with a good personality. He is also one hundred percent passionate and dedicated about technology. He wants to extend his educational qualification upto PhD and it is his desire to be a prominent researcher and engineer in his field of expertise.

With a great desire to be a prominent civil engineer, He got himself admitted into Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET). BUET is a top ranked educational institution in Bangladesh. In the admission test to get admitted in this highly competitive institution, he secured a position in the top 6%. Prior to this, in his pre-university education, he also showed his brilliance, especially in both S.S.C and H.S.C examinations by securing a position in the top 2% in the country with a GPA of 5.00 in a scale of 5.00 in both of these. During this period he was a student of Rajuk Uttara Model School & College, which is also one of the best institutions in pre-university level, ranked among the top five colleges in last ten consecutive years by respective education board.During his undergraduate study he was actively involved with different research groups in the field of behavior of construction materials. His undergraduate research involved use of different statistical methods to evaluate reliability of NDT results for concrete comprised of different coarse aggregates. Currently he is involved in retrofitting of a 20-storied building using CFRP. It is notable that, CFRP in retrofitting is still a new and emerging field in Bangladesh. Personally, he is passionate, dedicated and creative. He strives to expand his horizon of knowledge. He strives to get himself involved in a world renowned lab to carry out further research for the betterment of humanity.
