DeWarren K. Langley, JD, MPA, is the Visionary & Executive Director of the Charles Hamilton Houston Foundation, Inc. responsible leading the growth and development of the vision to transforming the academic and professional success of young men of color. The Foundation is a nonprofit academic, career and leadership development organization that provides a seamless continuum of programs and services to educate, empower and support young men of color to navigate college to career, improve academic and career outcomes and remedy systemic barriers to black excellence to ensure all young men of color have equal opportunity to lead successful and meaningful lives in alignment with their career goals.

Mr. Langley is President of the National INROADS Alumni Association - Triangle Chapter, Chairman of the Civilian Police Review Board, Vice President of Men of Vision, Chairman of the Justice Involvement Committee for the My Brother’s Keeper Initiative - Durham, Secretary of the Durham Community Martin Luther King, Jr. Steering Committee, Inc., Precinct Judge for the Durham County Board of Elections, Chairman of the Board of Directors for Jubilee Home and Vice Chairman of the Advisory Board for Kid’s Voting Durham. DeWarren also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the West End Community Foundation, Inc. the Board of Directors for Antioch Builds Community, Inc., Citizen Capital Improvement Panel for the City of Durham, Youth Council of the Workforce Development Board, Equity Affairs Advisory Team of Durham Public Schools, Pre-Law Advisory Committee of the National Pre-Law Conference & Law Fair and the North Carolina Juvenile Services Association.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management & Economics with a minor in Leadership Studies from Hampton University, a Juris Doctor with a concentration in Civil Rights and Constitutional Law from North Carolina Central University School of Law; a Master in Public Administration with a concentration in Government Administration & Public Policy from North Carolina Central University and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University. Mr. Langley also holds a Certificate of Completion in Technology of Participation Group Facilitation Methods from the Institute of Cultural Affairs.

A native of Durham, North Carolina, DeWarren worships as a member of First Calvary Baptist Church.
