David Fonseca

Winchester, Massachussets

David Fonseca has been crazy about computers since as a freshman, he walked in to the computer lab at his rural high school in Vermont. After graduating from college with a BA in both Mathematics and Computer Science, David had a long and varied career as a computer programmer, the last ten years of which he spent in the field of computer networking.

After the Internet bubble collapsed, and David found he had to re-invent himself, and out of this came his new career in computers: tech support for local small business and home users. This job found him, as he had forty customers before he even printed business cards or picked a business name.

…And about that business name. He hopes it conveys several important things about his business. Its local, it's not a franchise, or part of a big corporation selling you hardware. Its Dave. He also hopes you get his sense of self-deprecating humor. Its all a bit much calling yourself a hero (and writing about yourself in the third person for that matter.)

After a career where projects might take years, Dave has found the pleasure of day-to-day problem solving to be a joy. Every day bring new puzzles to solve, whether its an annoying wireless network, Macs or Windows, or installing a new printer or computer. The immediate feedback from reducing the pain out of folks tech lives is wonderful, and involves learning something new almost every day.
