Artist, Actor, and Designer in Liberia
Davidson Alloysius Kieh, professionally known as Dgospel and widely recognized by his signature tag, HighKore Disciple, is a Liberian-born Afro-gospel artist, worship leader, actor, and multidisciplinary creative. Emerging from the vibrant streets of Liberia, he represents a powerful fusion of African cultural richness, street authenticity, spiritual authority, and deep worship. His artistry is where street sound meets sacred message,a bold, culturally resonant expression of faith designed to inspire, uplift, and transform lives.
At the heart of Dgospel’s story is a remarkable testimony that defines both his identity and mission. According to his mother, at the age of one year and six months, he was pronounced dead at Redemption Hospital following a severe illness. In what his family and faith community regard as a miraculous act of divine intervention, God restored him to life. This extraordinary experience became the foundation of his purpose, a divinely orchestrated second chance dedicated to Kingdom service.
From this testimony, the name “Dgospel” was born. More than a stage name, it is a constant reminder of his divine assignment: to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ with clarity, conviction, and cultural relevance. Every song, performance, and creative endeavor reflects this mission, to communicate Christ so powerfully and simply that all can hear, understand, and respond.
His calling is deeply rooted in the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18–19, which serves as the spiritual foundation of his ministry. For Dgospel, music is more than entertainment; it is a vehicle for evangelism, discipleship, and cultural transformation.
Artistically, Dgospel occupies a unique space within contemporary gospel music. His sound is a dynamic blend of Afro-gospel, gospel rap, Afro-R&B, and worship, seamlessly combining infectious African rhythms, hard-hitting lyricism, soulful melodies, and deeply worshipful moments. This multidimensional approach enables him to connect with diverse audiences while remaining uncompromising in message, authenticity, and excellence.
Central to his brand philosophy is the concept of “Gimbal Seeds and Bandanna.” This powerful symbolism represents humility, resilience, African heritage, street wisdom, and divine growth, the belief that even in broken ground, God can bring forth extraordinary life. It shapes both his message and visual identity, positioning him as “the sound of grace from the soil.”
Dgospel first gained national recognition as a finalist in Project My Voice Season 7, a journey significantly encouraged and supported by the late Rev. Mother Cynthia B. Bagnon, whose belief in his calling played a vital role in his artistic development. He further solidified his rising profile as the 1st Runner-Up in Montserrado Got Talent Season 7, showcasing his vocal excellence, versatility, and commanding stage presence.
In 2025, his growing impact was formally recognized at the Celestia Awards, where he received three major nominations:
Emerging Artist of the Year (Winner)
Collaboration of the Year for “Righteous” featuring Eye Ru Sr
Afro Song of the Year for “Righteous” featuring Eye Ru Sr
Winning Emerging Artist of the Year marked a defining milestone, affirming his place as one of Liberia’s most promising and influential gospel voices.
Beyond music, Dgospel is an emerging actor with appearances in productions such as Monrovia Hustle, Where’s Your Love, and Seaside. His work in film reflects his passion for storytelling and his commitment to creative expression across multiple platforms.
He is also a multidisciplinary creative with expertise in visual design, photography, videography, performance arts, and creative direction. This broad skill set allows him to craft compelling narratives and help brands, ministries, and individuals communicate with clarity, excellence, and authenticity.
Deeply committed to impact beyond the stage, Dgospel actively engages in mentorship, community development, and humanitarian outreach. He is passionate about investing in the next generation, inspiring purpose, cultivating talent, and driving positive transformation.
With a life marked by divine preservation, an identity anchored in purpose, and a calling fueled by unwavering conviction, Dgospel continues to rise as a distinctive voice in African gospel music and the broader creative landscape. He is more than an artist, he is a messenger, worshipper, storyteller, and cultural architect.
Dgospel exists to create Kingdom music that carries African excellence, speaks to the streets, and leads hearts into transformative encounters with God.
From Liberia to the world, he remains committed to planting seeds of faith, hope, and revival, proving that from even the most unlikely soil, God can raise a sound that changes lives.
