Diego Gutierrez is the Senior Vice President for Shoutz., Inc. After an extensive career in the sports industry as player, TV Analyst and executive, Diego decided to pursue his passion for business affairs domestically and internationally. He currently serves as SVP of Shoutz, Inc., overseeing all domestic and international marketing and sales efforts of the company's products and ventures. He is also devising and creating marketing plans for different countries, enhancing the company footprint and overall growth, emphasizing in creation, ideation, strategic planning, coordination, management and tracking of company sales. Also overseeing, coordinating and managing sales process as well as implementation of roll-outs, execution of events, media, advertising, distribution, positioning, social media, etc. Previously Diego served as a special analyst for soccer business at Fox Sports 1, as well as the On-Air Commentator for Sporting Kansas City of Major League Soccer. He also served as Sporting Director for Major League Soccer club Philadelphia Union, where he helped in converting the team from an expansion team into a playoff contender. Always involved in non for profit activities, Diego has represented many charities and voiced around half dozen national and international organizations. He was inducted into the World Sports Humanitarian Hall of Fame, only the second soccer player to ever be inducted. In 2007 Diego was honored at the White House by President George W. Bush for his work with the UN Foundation's "Nothing But Nets" campaign, part of the international fight against malaria. Later, President Bush again honored Diego by appointing him to the Presidential Council on Fitness Sports & Nutrition, a group of 18 influential Americans that help empower Americans to healthy lifestyles. In 2011 Diego was the recipient of the Jerry Yeagley award, given to a past or present college athlete whom has demonstrated outstanding personal achievement and extraordinary accomplishment that transcend normal expectation. On the field, he was named to the MLS team of the decade for the 90's and 2000's. He also won several championships, including MLS Cup 98' US Open Cups "98, 2000, 2004 and 2006. Diego is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Business and Strategy from Creighton University's Heider School of Business.
