Dan has a solid background in the field of management consulting, his expertise cut across domains of Strategic Planning, Organizational Development, Re-Structuring, Monitoring and Evaluations.
He has worked with many leading public, private and family owned companies, NGOs and government institutions in residential stints across Australia, all the major markets in South Asia (Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh) and has project exposure in Europe, South East Asia and Middle East. He is/has been involved with leading consulting firms and training companies such as Symbiosis Business Partners, Diventars Training and MTI Consulting.
His consulting practice over nearly one and half decades have spread through a diverse range of industries including Apparel, Automobile, Banking & Finance, Chemicals, Construction & Hardware, Distribution Operations, Diversified Holdings & Conglomerates, Education, FMCG, Food & Beverage, Freight – Logistics & Shipping, Government Institutions, Hotels, Industry Bodies & Associations, Information Technology, Insurance, NGO & Social Sector, Retail & Telecom.
Through his passion for working with the grass-roots to provide an affordable education in specialized avenues he initiated the Colombo Institute of Social Sciences, an entity with faculties in Politics, Insurance and Languages at present. He served on the faculty of Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology and Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing. In addition he’s involved in supervising students at the Institute of Personnel Management for their research projects.
He has been a member of the Panel of Judges at the Great HR Debate of the IPM Sri Lanka in 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2014. He has presented papers in many international conferences and was an active Rotarian with Rotary Club of Karachi Cosmpolitan. He has served on the Advisory Board for AIESEC in Sri Lanka and Karachi, Pakistan.
