Dr. Dhrupad Mathur

Dr. Dhrupad Mathur is the Director of Faculty Recruitment & Training and Associate Professor of Technology Management working with SP Jain School of Global Management Dubai since 2008. With a PhD in E-Business Transformations and over 24 years of professional experience in ICT, education, policy, and consulting, he has been a professor of E-Commerce, E-Business Strategy, Enterprise Innovation and Digital Transformation.

Prior to joining SP Jain in Dubai, he was a Senior Consultant for the National e-Governance Plan at the Ministry of Communications and IT, Government of India, New Delhi.

He was the first Indian to be selected for the United Nations Fellowship in the field of Internet Governance at UN Geneva in 2005 where he served as UN-DESA fellow at the Working Group on Internet Governance Secretariat. Subsequently, he was associated with Diplo Foundation Geneva, as a tutor and research supervisor for Internet Governance Capacity Building.

Dr. Dhrupad Mathur was recognized among the 'Emerging Leaders of the Digital World' by Diplo Foundation Geneva and served as the honorary coordinator for Internet Governance capacity building in Asia during 2007. Later, he was also nominated by the United Nations to serve as a member of the Strategy Council, United Nations Global Alliance for ICT and Development during 2009-11.

At SP Jain Dubai, as the first Director of Industry Interface Projects he steered Industry Projects for over 300 MBA participants every year and developed new partnerships with 200+regional and global organizations through Industry projects during his tenure (2008-16), including notable industry projects with the Department of Economic Development, Government of Dubai in 2009-10.

In Dubai, he has been actively associated with various prominent regional industry forums as a speaker, program chair and panel member including the Cloud MENA Forum, Smart Data Summit, WAN Summit, DSO Tech Forum, Sustainability innovation forum, EdEx MENA etc.

Recently, in 2022-23, he has been nominated by the Dubai Chambers to serve as a founding member of the Cloud Computing Business Group and e-Commerce Business Group at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.
