Ms. Dyste Anzures is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in archaeology in the Department of Anthropology at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She has earned a doctoral emphasis in Feminist Studies at UCSB, and is a scholar of decolonial and Chicana epistemologies. Her research is based in central California, and examines diachronic changes in food processing labor and its relationship to ritual & work activity spaces during the Middle to Late Holocene. A talented lecturer, avid hiker and devoted naturalist, Diana is most passionate about herbal medicinal healing, playing guitar & flute, community building through activism & mentoring new students in archaeology. (She's also an awesome Mom & knowledgeable home-school educator).

Diana has experience in teaching courses in archaeology, cultural anthropology, ethnic studies, and feminist studies. Her enthusiasm for educating others extends to both small and large class sizes, and includes both field-based and indoor instruction.
