Support my charity

I have graduated from the Jagiellonian University in Cracow.

As I strongly believe that science and practice are inseparable, I make sure I stay up-to-date with the most recent research and studies in the field of psychology, supporting the evidence-based practice approach to mental health treatment.

I developed my interest in research as a trainee at the Consciousness Laboratory (C-Lab) at the Jagiellonian University and at the Clinical and Behavioral Neuroscience Institute at the University of Cambridge.

My experience in mental wellbeing support is built on my clinical student practice at University Hospital of Cracow as well as on serving as a helpline consultant at the Crisis Centre (OIK). I was also a part of the Motivational Interviewing Centre team which allowed me to learn about and apply in practice their counseling method, using it as a perfect tool to achieve milestone changes.

In addition, I enjoy sharing psychological knowledge through psycho-educational content for a variety of websites and projects e.g. “jaksiemasz.care” project focused on depression therapy support. Writing popular science articles give me an opportunity to converge science and personal standpoint.

Furthermore, I also have a strong interest in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) methods where I apply core assumptions of Motivational Interviewing. I believe in person-centered approach toward psychological support where we focus on point of view of individuals observing their own behavior. I provide consultations to people experiencing psychological distress. I aim to help clients to work on different ways of coping with life difficulties. We put the first step on a way to habits and thinking changes.

I offer interventions tailored to individual needs. I help my clients cope with crisis and support their personal development.
