Currently interested in mathematics education research with an emphasis on social justice in marginalized communities. I am currently conducting research in the Sumer Research Opportunities Program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Mathematics Education. My research focuses on definitions of identity and success in mathematics education for Latina/o and African American students beyond standardized tests and grades.
