Diana completed her doctorate in Rhetoric and Composition at Georgia State University in 2014. She now works as an Assistant Professor of English at Auburn University. Her current research project involves archival research at the University of Florida. She is writing the first comprehensive biography of William Stetson Kennedy (1916-2011), who worked as a folklorist, journalist, investigative historian, spy, and all-around badass. Stetson fought for civil rights and workers’ rights over a seven-decade long career. Diana’s scholarly interests include working-class rhetoric, social movement studies, community literacy, service learning, critical theory, and critical pedagogy. When she is not teaching rhetoric, she enjoys working with community organizations, cooking, reading, and spending time with her two grown children and eight year-old grandson.
