Prevention and treatment are at the forefront of neurodegenerative research. As a neuroscientist, I study the behavioral and neural mechanisms that lead to cognitive decline in normal aging and conditions like Alzheimer’s, Type 2 diabetes, heart failure, and traumatic brain injury. My findings emphasize the cognitive benefit of lifestyle changes, specifically, modifications in diet, nutritional supplement intake, and exercise regimens.
I currently work as a freelance medical writer where I get to create and edit a variety of scientific and health-related documents including, medical manuscripts, news stories, slide decks, poster presentations, training materials, and digital content. Please contact me at [email protected] if you'd like to learn more about my services.
Although I was originally born in Eastern Europe, I grew up on Long Island, New York. I received my B.A. in Psychology from Providence College in Rhode Island and later, my Ph.D. in Cognition and Neuroscience from the University of Missouri. In my spare time, I enjoy making a mess in the kitchen, traveling, spending time outdoors, practicing yoga, skiing, painting, attending concerts, and gardening.
Thanks for taking the time to learn more about me and I look forward to connecting with you soon!
