Journalist, Photographer, and Filmmaker in Michigan

Diana Prichard is a freelance journalist, photographer, and filmmaker. She has covered agriculture, food security, global development, and international policy and politics from three continents.

She is the co-host of The Postmodern Farmer Show, publisher of the popular farm blog Righteous Bacon, author of The Cow in Patrick O’Shanahan’s Kitchen (Little Pickle Press, 2013) and Whole Hog (2016).

She was a 2013 International Reporting Project Fellow to Tanzania with Johns Hopkins University, and the 2015 recipient of Alliance to Feed The Future's Communicator of the Year Award.

Her work has been featured by outlets such as CNN, MSNBC’s iVillage, Modern Farmer Magazine, Medium and The Huffington Post.

Diana founded Prichard Farms, a farrow-to-finish swine farm, in the early 2000's. Today, she lives and works on the farm with her husband and their two daughters.
