I'm a former journalist, turned stay-at-home mom, who decided to turn her spirited rose-colored-glass-half-full attitude into a book. "Home Sweet Homes: How Bundt Cakes, Bubble Wrap, and My Accent Helped Me Survive Nine Moves" is a collection of wit and wisdom from my family's many cross-country relocations.

My latest book, "Great-Grandma Is on Twitter and Other Signs the Rapture Is Near," hit Amazon in January 2016. Learn more about my books at DianeLaneyFitzpatrick.com.

I write a popular humor blog, "Just Humor Me," about parenting, growing up in the '60s, being a teenager in the '70s, empty nesting, and being a literary fiction nerd in a 50 Shades of Gray world. I blog about moving on my website and for moving and relocation sites. And I write about my travels on Tumblr.

I live in a 103-year-old house in San Francisco with my husband and hound dog. My three kids live all over the country.
