Design, whether by brush or computer, is always an amazing avenue by which to connect to others. I love utilizing both in today's high tech industry. Being a fine artist first, a graphics designer "plus" second, my work reflects how the two collide. I love being able to tell a story, solve a problem and have the client's goals hit their mark. Photoshop is my ultimate program of choice for the extensive layering available, not to mention the ability to have no two pieces of work be alike. Creating videos are rewarding as well for they are moving pieces of art telling the client's story.

As a young child, drawing was always my favorite activity. As the adults years approached, I went into programming as a "set" means of making a living. However, my artistic side was starving. Enter the world of animation....the best of art and programming put together. Graphics programs followed, then 2-d and 3-d high end animations – this at a time while at WCNC-36/NBC6. I loved working in the television environment, which fed my type-A personality. Challenges are what drive me and the 24/7-news-must-go-on mentality was a perfect fit. When we purchased a high-end graphics sytem that also created animations, the cusp of Desert Storm was hitting. I was scheduled to attend classes for this sytem, but instead had to learn it on my own in a week when the war hit. My programming/computer experience paid off and the work needed was completed. When I finally did get to training, I discovered I knew more about this computer system than most by then, but with some functions, I was going a long way around to get the end result. No worries though. I learned how to get graphics done quickly in a time when the tv station needed me most.

Challenges will bring struggles. It's what you do with those struggles that counts. The drive to succeed, to produce, to tell a story is what my work is about. I'm glad you stopped by.
