What are my passions?

First and foremost I love my family. Family is not just a genealogical tree, it also consists of those you choose to be a part of your life. You share your true self with family and they love you even when they disagree with you. Some of them even love you unconditionally. My family consists of my husband, two sons, four grandchildren, my mother, in-laws and extended family members, my closest friends and my (our) Irish Red and White Setter Mollie. If I love you, I consider you family.

One of my favorite things to do is read. I love to cook and I collect cookbooks. I enjoy the outdoors and hunting, photography, writing, "playing" on the computer, networking, watching movies, and playing with and training Mollie.

I'm rediscovering the joys of walking and exercise. If I could choose any piece of exercise equipment, I'd choose an elliptical trainer. I like working out using the Wii. My favorite seasons are Fall and Spring and I'm "Christmas crazy".

I love words, word games and writing. I find old-fashioned hardware stores more fun than clothing stores. I enjoy visiting museums, historical sites and homes, and "haunted tours". Some of my favorite cities include Boston, Seattle, Toronto, Victoria, Edinburgh and London.

I've lived in Pennsylvania most of my life, but Ventura County in Southern California felt more like "home". I'd love to live in North or South Carolina and my dream home has a large kitchen with KitchenAid appliances, a soaking tub, a great room with a vaulted ceiling, a wrap-around deck or porch and views of the ocean from my master suite and bath.

I've worked for a dentist, a psychiatrist, a lawyer and financial advisors. I'm a great Administrative Assistant and Customer Service Representative. Through the years I've come to realize that I just love to help people. In my current job with Cabela's I have the opportunity to meet and interact with customers from all over the world. I enjoy talking with people, but I also enjoy sitting quietly and observing people.

Music is important to me. I am creative and enjoy crafting, needlework and knitting. I love to dance, especially country dancing. I own a revolver, a rifle and a shotgun. I love target shooting and home decorating and I don't find those activities incompatible.
