Diane Harkey
California, Usa
Diane Harkey, a Californian assembly woman representing the state’s 73rd District, plans to advocate for everyday, taxpaying citizens and small businesses if elected member of the California Board of Equalization (BOE). The BOE encompasses five individuals who together hear tax disputes and make rulings that oftentimes prove highly influential. Over her career as a public servant, Diane Harkey, a Republican, has worked with colleagues on both ends of the political spectrum in promoting issues like job creation, economic growth, and pension reform.
Such pro-business bodies as the West Coast Lumber and Building Association and the Orange County Business Council have endorsed her in the BOE race. Moreover, the California Chamber of Commerce rated Harkey 100 percent and the National Rifle Association gave her an “A.”
Earlier in her life, Diane Harkey attended the University of California, Irvine, from which she graduated cum laude with her bachelor’s degree in economics. While working her way through college, she began her successful banking career spanning three decades, culminating in the corporate finance sector.
