I'm a Senior Fellow at the Kauffman Foundation and I write a lot about VC, most recently We Have Met the Enemy... and He is Us, a widely-read report about the VC industry - and the most downloaded report in Kauffman's history.
I've also written for the Harvard Business Review, Institutional Investor, the Huffington Post, and The Irish Times. My work has been featured in The Economist, the New Yorker, Forbes, Fortune, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, numerous industry publications, and on NPR and ReutersTV.
I've written two books on VC: Angels and IPOs, a public policy book about the equity financing of small businesses in Ireland, andVenturing Forward,a practical guide to raising equity capital in Europe.
The MBA class I created and teach at Babson College on Entrepreneurship and the Gig Economywas named as one of the Top 10 Most Innovative Business School Classes in the country. I've also lectured on venture capital and entrepreneurship at Trinity College in Ireland, Dar-al-Hekma and Prince Sultan Universities in Saudi Arabia, Case Western, Harvard Business and Law Schools, Kansas State, Stanford, and the University of Virginia Darden School.
