I’m Dianne Barham and if you haven’t heard by now, I’m running for Public School Trustee in the City of Pickering.

Just to get you up to speed, here's some quick information about myself.

I’ve faithfully lived in the Pickering area for the past 17 years and I've remained active by serving in various roles within the community.

Roles such as:

Co-chair of the Education Committee for the Congress of Black Women, Vice President of Toastmasters Pickering, Co-Founder of Beautiful Body Fitness, plus many many more.

With all that said, I'm sure you’re asking yourself, “Why should I even bother voting for you?”. It’s a totally valid question, so here's my response!

If I’m elected as your Public School Trustee in Pickering, Here are some of my commitments to YOU!

1. To develop a fair and equitable budgetary process that is transparent to the community

2. To advocate for ALL children and parents to ensure access and inclusion

3. To work with the school board and set curriculum goals for students to achieve success

4. To ensure a safe school environment for all ages, cultures and genders

It’s not an easy task, but together, I’m confident we can bring about change in our community.
