Diarmuid Ó Flaherty

BA (Hons) in Performing Arts: Theatre Design from ITSligo. I am based in Dublin, but hail from the rainy west, and work in theatre and film, photography and digital media (/http://diarmuido.tumblr.com/),(https://www.flickr.com/photos/131360560@N06/) . I spent 6 months in the Abbey Theatre in 2013 under the Yeats Design Residency. Most recently I designed the set for Sick by Roisín Coyle, Dir. Aoife Spillane HInks for the Tiger Dublin Fringe 2014 in the New Theatre Dublin. Earlier this year I was co-production designer for ''Butterfly'', a short film directed by Cathal Black, which was shown as part of the Galway Film Fleadh 2015, and production designer for Contact, a Driftwood Dolls short film which has been sent to various festivals and is awaiting reply.

I want to travel, to feel the sun on my face and the rain on my skin. I want to create something that makes someone feel something. I want to create something that makes someone feel nothing. I want to create. I don't fear failure I fear the monotony. The mundane is our nemesis, relentless in its persistent pestilence. Lets keep things interesting shall we?!
