Dice Marui

Technical Account Manager in England

I was born and raised in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, where I grew up on a pig farm. Yes, you read that correctly. I was a pig farmer, an Asian pig farmer (my parents are Japanese – in case you want to know where I’m “really” from).

As a small town farm boy, I had visions of grandeur. So when I graduated high school, I moved to…St. Catharines, where I attended Brock University and eventually graduated with a degree in Business. Then I moved to Toronto and attended Humber College for Supply Chain Management.

After Humber College, I ended up working at Schenker Logistics for just over 4 years. Then I found my dream job at a startup software company called Varicent Software working as a Business Consultant.

In late 2011, Varicent asked me if I wanted to relocate to Australia. Obviously, I said, “Yes.” So I sold all my stuff, packed up my clothes and moved to Melbourne in February 2012. Then in May 2014, I repeated the process and moved to Singapore. Then in January 2016, I repeated the process and moved to England, where I am currently residing.

As you can tell, I love travelling (or is it traveling?). At some point, I plan to quit my job and travel around the world on a motorcycle (ideally one with a sidecar).

My other interests are riding my motorcycle, watching movies/TV shows (I seem to retain a lot of this knowledge, great for trivia games, not-so-great for my job), anything adventurous (like zip lining, hiking, etc.), and just being awesome.
