Dr. Dilara Yashin (Yaşın)

Dilara completed her degrees in Science as well as Dentistry (Honours) from the University of Sydney. Dilara loves working with children and has completed a Master of Teaching, which has helped in her approach to working with people of all ages and walks of life.

Dilara has gained extra experience in the emergency and maxillofacial clinics at Westmead Hospital. She has also worked in the Endodontics (Root Canal) Department at Sydney Dental Hospital, using microscopes to treat regular as well as challenging cases (such as endodontic retreatments). She has been involved in research in the Orthodontic Department at Sydney Dental Hospital, researching systemic markers of orthodontically induced root resorption in patients who have had orthodontic treatment. Her current work has recently been published in a European Journal (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5602813/)

Dilara was the Vice President of the Dental Alumni Society University of Sydney 2015-2017, and is a member of the Australian Society of Endodontology.

She has worked in a number of private practices in Sydney and in the south-coast town of Narooma. She currently works as principal dentist at 100 Redfern Smiles, a family dental practice she runs with her husband. She is a senior clinical tutor at Sydney Dental Hospital teaching dental students in the simulation clinic about root canals . She also speaks fluent Turkish!

When Dilara is not practicing dentistry she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, cake decorating, any and all craft-work, floral arrangements, travelling and swimming.
