Dilawar Zaman
Athens, Ga.
My name is Dilawar Zaman. I grew up in multiple cities, including Chicago, Houston, and Washington D.C, and New York. Growing up all around the country has helped me experience the very different cultures in different parts of the country. I have also learned to be resistant to high and low temperatures which is a very useful quality in Georgia.
I am a first year attending the University of Georgia majoring in Computer Science. I am from Johns Creek, Georgia and originally from Pakistan. So far, the University of Georgia has been a very different yet very fun experience. I have met so many new people and have found that the people here are always willing to create new friendships. Multiple random encounters of people you don’t know makes you feel like you know them and eventually you even talk to them and become friends with them.
Some of my hobbies are programming, playing basketball, and listening to music. In my other free time, I like playing video games and watching TV. I love the challenge of learning new programming languages on my own. Despite popular opinion, programming is actually lots of fun. True, it can be frustrating at times but the final product is very worth the hard work. Your creation will be shared with hundreds, thousands, and even millions of people.
