Dillan McGlothern
Field Engineer in Orlando Florida
I am a Business Administration student at Southeastern University and a Construction Intern with Batson-Cook Company, where I will continue my internship through December while completing my degree. Through this role, I am gaining hands-on experience in commercial construction by supporting field operations, project coordination, scheduling, quality control, and communication between project teams.
Before joining Batson-Cook, I worked in warehouse management and field installation, where I coordinated materials, prepared shipments, completed quality checks, and traveled to help install commercial structures. Those experiences strengthened my work ethic and taught me the importance of planning, teamwork, and clear communication.
My long-term goal is to build a career in commercial construction by progressing from Field Engineer to Assistant Superintendent, Superintendent, and eventually Project Manager. I am especially interested in how technology and artificial intelligence can improve project planning, cost control, scheduling, safety, and overall project delivery.
Outside of work and school, I enjoy bass fishing, golfing, and spending time in the gym.
