Dillon Ingold
Student, Photographer, and Filmmaker in Hillsborough, North Carolina
I am a sophmore at University of North Carolina Wilmington with a passion for photography, Politics, film, writing and vintage technologies. I serve as a contributor to The Dark Room Project at Cedar Ridge High School where I provide attention to detail, problem-solving and flexible instruction to mentor high school students as they explore videography. I also provide still photography, and film screening support for Skylight Gallery Art Co-op. Both of these positions are in my hometown of Hillsborough, NC and requires knowledge of the lost art of traditional film development, print techniques, lighting and scale which I find grounding. These positions have allowed me to demonstrate to power of a picture as it reveals its self in the dark along with promoting integrity through photo Journalism.
I was the founding member of my High School Russian club, serving as president during senior year which let to being selected as a NSLI-Y scholar to study Russian during the summer of 2015 in Chișinău, Moldova. I plan to build of these experiences to promote the importance of positive international relations through understanding and tolerance.
I seek to use my diverse skill set to be a valuable contributor for future employers and organizations.
