From a young age I have always felt more connected to nature and exercise rather than sitting indoors. While all the other kids were inside watching tv or playing video games I was outside climbing trees or making forts in the forest. Throughout the past I have tried to travel as much as I can. I have been to the Grand Canyon, swam in the Caribbean islands, wandered Paris and much more. Even to this day I try to continue that trend as much as possible. I recently took a mission trip to Nicaragua where I was able to help mentally and physically disabled children. Not only was I able to help the children on this trip I was also given the opportunity to experience the natural wonders that were scattered around the small country. During our rest day I was able to hike up a caldera, swim in a lagoon at the bottom of a volcano and take a sunset boat ride around Lake Managua. This trip reinforced my fascination with all the world has to offer and this semester me and my newfound friends have gone on trips to hike or ski for the weekend. In the years to come I look to continue my trend of traveling and I hope to be able to spend one summer backpacking through Europe with my friends.
