I grew up looking for strong characters that exemplified having the courage to do the right thing, whether that was in Calvin and Hobbes, Tolkien, or my parents.
As I grew, I found those characters in my educational experiences; in my high school houseparents and teachers, in my undergraduate mentors, and my university club sports teammates.
Those experiences set me on the path towards working in Student Affairs. Half of me felt responsible to provide a better experience for studnets (not that mine was bad). The other half loves seeing young people find that courage in themselves.
Current Areas of Interest Include: Male Leadership, Balancing Fiscal and Student Learning Responsbilties, Environmental Stewardship, Experiential Learning.
