I graduated from Fresno Pacific University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. I graduated with a Masters of Arts in TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language), August 2010. Today I am an ESL professor and a CTA member, California Teachers Association; I am serving Merced College at the Los Banos campus and Merced, California, United States.

As a former international student and now as a teacher, I have had the opportunity to teach people from various backgrounds and all facets of society. I have learned the importance of meeting their needs and expectations in a classroom setting and have earned their trust as well.

Provide asylum seekers and/or migrant students training in American culture and the language of the workplace. Prepare students for successful transition into the intended workplace. I developed listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills for educational/career needs. Prepared students to become productive community members and transition from entry level positions to highly skilled positions based on their career pathways. The main goal is to help student to become self-sufficient.

In addition, I developed the curriculum course content - workforce training for adults

It provides an intensive language acquisition skill environment that prepares native and non-native citizens /students to enter the workforce. The focus is on building communication skills and listening strategies that are necessary to succeed at entry-level positions in a variety of job settings. Individual students are taught vocational English for management systems based on their career pathways.

Also, I developed the curriculum-American Citizenship. It provides non-U.S. citizens with a study of the federal and state system of government and the U.S. Constitution, preparing them for the naturalization /citizenship interview with United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

I created resource about diversity and how it influences the learning of English Language Learners. I also conducted research in a local non-profit-organization aimed at improving productivity. I looked closely at how investors should be prepared to approach or deal with different situations that are common in the business with migrant’s policy.

In addition, I attended a several annual conferences in California such as “The World Is In the Classroom”, “Technology through the Ages”, & “Think, Connect, Create and Share, Riding the waves of Success”
