Dino Tassigiannis
Digital Marketing in Liverpool, UK
I live to create in both the physical and digital realms. Whether through code, art, the written word or videography, I engineer work that delivers tangible, real-world success. That's always been my foundation, and everything else builds from there.
My creative roots run deep. I've been an artist for as long as I can remember, starting with fine art, drawing and painting from imagination and lived experience. With two years of Life Drawing, an AVCE in Art & Design and a BTEC specialising in print, illustration and web design, I developed a strong visual language before stepping into the digital world.
At degree level I studied Interactive Media, where I learned to write scripts, direct and edit film, build websites from the ground up, and explore sound design, all while sharpening the designer's eye I still rely on today. That blend of creative instinct and technical curiosity became the throughline of everything that followed.
From there I moved into the worlds of sports nutrition and ecommerce, spending over a decade working with brands like Neogenix Bioscience Solutions, Betancourt Nutrition, PNI Supplements, Fitness Factory and T-Nutrition. Across those roles I covered everything from product formulation and print design to Magento and Shopify development, video production, Amazon and eBay store management, and hands-on customer sales.
It wasn't just a career path, it was a masterclass in wearing every hat, adapting fast and delivering results across wildly different disciplines. That versatility is something I carry into every role I take on.
Today, I'm a Digital Marketing Manager at Homes for Students, one of the UK's largest Purpose-Built Student Accommodation providers, where I connect the dots between digital strategy, data analysis and the technical side of things that brings it all to life.
My work covers the full lifecycle of a brand's digital presence, from designing web experiences that actually look good and work properly, to making sure the complex platforms behind them don't fall apart. I look after multiple brands, keeping everything running smoothly and making sure they all stay consistent, even when the moving parts are anything but simple.
A big part of what I do is making sense of data. Not just reporting numbers, but digging into what they actually mean and turning that into advice that marketing and client-facing teams can act on. I work across traditional SEO as well as newer areas like Generative Engine Optimisation and Answer Engine Optimisation, which is essentially about making sure brands show up properly in AI-powered search.
The digital world moves fast and I genuinely enjoy keeping up with it. I'd rather be the person flagging what's coming next than the one scrambling to catch up after the fact.
I'm an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (ACIM) and hold certifications in Google Ads, Google Analytics, Advanced Data Analytics, AI ethics and machine learning from the University of Helsinki, and Answer Engine Optimisation from seoClarity. I've also completed Google's Digital Marketing and E-commerce professional certificate, alongside HubSpot certifications in SEO, Inbound Marketing and Digital Marketing.
I'm big on learning. Not in a CV-padding way, but because the work genuinely gets better when you keep pushing yourself to understand more.
Outside of work I'm into technology, Linux (Ubuntu mostly), pro wrestling and PC gaming. I've also had a long-standing interest in sports nutrition and resistance training, having spent years working on the commercial side of the supplement industry before moving fully into digital marketing.
After a few years away from the gym, time very well spent raising my son, who is the absolute joy of my life, I'm back training and loving every rep of it. That same drive for self-improvement tends to bleed into everything else I do too.
At the end of the day I'm a problem-solver who genuinely enjoys the work. Finding smarter ways to use technology, building digital experiences that actually perform, and making sure the brands I work with are always a step ahead. That's what gets me going.
