Dinusha Fernando

Student in Sri Lanka

I'm a Cyber Security graduate with a First Class Honours degree in Network Systems Engineering and a strong passion for securing digital systems and solving complex security challenges. Throughout my academic journey, I've built a solid foundation in network security, ethical hacking, digital forensics, cloud and enterprise networking, and information security.

I've worked on a variety of hands-on projects, including phishing detection using machine learning, VoIP implementation with Asterisk PBX, secure communication systems using encryption and steganography, and enterprise network design with Cisco technologies. These experiences have strengthened both my technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities while giving me practical exposure to real-world cybersecurity concepts.

I'm continuously expanding my skills through industry certifications, personal projects, and keeping up with the latest developments in cybersecurity. As I prepare to begin my Master's in Cyber Security, I remain committed to learning, innovation, and contributing to a safer digital world.

Beyond technology, I enjoy exploring emerging security trends, collaborating with other technology enthusiasts, and continuously challenging myself to grow both personally and professionally. My long-term goal is to build a successful career in cybersecurity, helping organisations defend against evolving cyber threats while making a meaningful impact in the industry.
