I am an Academic, Researcher, and Author at Stellenbosch University living in Cape Town, South Africa. I hold 2 PhD’s. A Doctorate in Systematic Theology with a focus on cognitive neuroscience and identity (SA, 2006), and a second Doctorate in New Testament Studies with a focus on social identity complexity and understandings of the politics of forgiveness in South Africa (Radboud, Nijmegen, 2017). I am an Associate Professor of Ethics and Public Theology, and the Director of the Beyers Naudé Centre for Public Theology.
