Dion Julian Lattimore is a pioneer men's fashion designer and consultant. Before designing he was a high fashion runway model for 15 years. Located in Beverly Hills, California, Dion’s distinctive style and technician-like fashion approach granted him the opportunity to design suits for luminaries like Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Charlie Sheen, Kobe Bryant, Will Smith, Mike Tyson, David Justice, Black Enterprise, and American Express CEOs, Earl Graves and Ken Chenault, respectively.
Dion established a niche in the high-end automotive market with clients such as Mercedes-Benz of Beverly Hills and Rusnak/Pasadena Porsche who enjoy the perks of his corporate bespoke program. The service includes wardrobe analysis, alterations, and other amenities for dealerships with five or more participants. For the more cost-conscious customer, his exclusive suit recut service transforms oversized suits into a slimmer, more contemporary fit.
In '92 his raw talent earned him a job at a high-end Los Angeles bespoke shop. There Dion made his mark in the fashion world designing for numerous members of the first and second '92 and '93 Olympic Dream Teams, including Scotty Pippen, David Robinson, Charles Barkley, assistant coach George Raveling, and many others. And, Dion designed Earvin “Magic” Johnson's suit for the February '93 cover of GQ.
Dion credits Johnson, who consistently urged him to pursue entrepreneurship, as the core reason for his dreams becoming an actuality. In '95, Dion formed a business partnership with designer Scott Torrellas and former Green Bay Packers defensive end Sean Jones. Together they opened Dion Scott Custom Wardrobes, which became a Beverly Hills landmark. With only $5,000 startup capital, the ambitous group generated a whopping $1.5 million in revenue their first year in business. However, several years later the trio amicably split.
A master of his craft, Dion's sales and service expertise resulted in a sizeable revenue boost for Loro Piana in Beverly Hills and Rochester Big & Tall. His stellar accomplishments have been featured on CNN, Access Hollywood, Oprah, NBC Sports, and profiled in Author Lloyd Boston’s iconic book Men of Color: Fashion, History, Fundamentals. He is also featured in TV Announcer Charlie Jones’ acclaimed book, That’s Outside My Boat: Letting Go of What You Can’t Control.
