Coming to the University of Georgia, I expected my freshman year to be just my roommate, Sidra and me; I did not think we would get close to anyone, but we did. I am a really friendly person, but coming to a big university like Georgia, really had me scared. I felt as if I would not find a home away from home. I was scared that people would not like me and I would not be comfortable in this new environment. One day in the Snelling dining hall, Elizabeth came up to me and told me she followed me on twitter and we just started conversing and laughing. I felt like I was with a friend from back home. We exchanged numbers and immediately started hanging out. Eventually we met, Dacia, Dominique and Ka'Necia. Whenever I am with these girls, I feel like I am myself. They make me feel like myself. Dacia is the bubbly girl, Dominique is the blunt one, Sidra is the sweet and loving person, Elizabeth is the friendly member, Ka'Necia is the motherly gal, and I am the social butterfly. I love surrounding myself with people who are different and they fulfill those characteristics. We all contribute to our friendship in different ways. We are all studious and want to be successful one day, so we all help each other out. There are so many different dynamics amongst the group that it all falls in place. I love these girls and I am so happy that I have met these beautiful ladies.
