She brings over 13 years of experience across various media specialities including broadcast journalism, digital media and print. She is driven by a passion to learn, share, and grow and serves as an Advisory Board member at the National School of Journalism and Public Discourse and visits as a guest instructor for digital and broadcast journalism.

She is also actively involved with the Digital Journalists Association of India (DiJAI) as an honorary secretary and led the efforts and production of their first digital media conclave in 2021 and a summer series in 2022. She also worked with the Sansad Ratna Awards team as the MC for their 2022 awards program in New Delhi, India.

Dipti donned many roles as an anchor, correspondent and multimedia producer writer at NDTV, (USA) NDTV-Hindu (India), The Independent (USA), The International Business Times (USA), Inside Edition, CBS (USA), The Brooklyn Daily Eagle (USA), BBC (UK), Worldspace Radio (India) and ANI (India).

She has a MSC in science and technology reporting from Stony Brook University, New York, a MA in Television Journalism from Goldsmiths College, University of London and a BA in Communicative English from Christ University, India.

As a post-graduate student at Stony Brook University, Kumar had the opportunity to travel to Turkana, Kenya in 2013 and report on a range of topics on education to green energy. Her story on girls education in Turkana won the award for, "Outstanding story on any subject by a South Asian student in the United States or Canada." by the South Asian Journalists Association (SAJA). With a passion for education and development of soft skills, Kumar traveled to her home city in 2014, leading a team of budding journalism students from her alma mater, Stony Brook University on a 12 day foreign reporting trip. She was a guide, mentor and fixer for the students' stories and helped with production of multimedia reports for publication in the United States of America. Page

Kumar also provided research to the Sunday Telegraph for their tenth anniversary feature of the Iraq invasion for their March 2013 issue.
