Direct Detroit

Direct Detroit is determined to bring community empowerment to development in Detroit. The goal of this project is to bring democracy to a heavily bureaucratic sector. While economic development organizations do great work, it is often not the work that the local community feels is most pressing.

Unfortunately, the work that community members want done they often cannot afford to take up on their own for lack of resources and organization. By being entirely pledge driven we will be held directly accountable to the community we serve, and by giving the community the power to both create and vote on project selection we will be putting the power of many in hands of many hands united.
