Davion “Dismoc Le Ma” Coleman is a multidisciplinary designer and artist based in St. Louis, MO, specializing in print design, illustration, and digital media. His passion for design began early, leading him to the Game Design/Animation summer program at the Art Institute of Downtown Chicago and two years at South County Technical School, where he mastered graphic design fundamentals. Graduating top of his class with honors, he launched his career by freelancing for local businesses and marketing agencies. He later earned his AAS degree in Graphic Communication at St. Louis Community College.
In December 2013, Dismoc Le Ma joined the RAW: Natural Born Artist organization, participating in eleven showcases across various cities. His success continued with a solo exhibition in St. Charles, MO, and he gained recognition through prestigious collaborations, including features with Adobe and Seagram’s Gin, which displayed his artwork during Miami's Art Basel. In 2014, he founded The Kre8ive Shop, an online art gallery, and in 2015, he was nominated for the RAW Visual Artist of the Year award. That same year, he began mentoring students through the Your Words after-school program at Marygrove.
Dismoc Le Ma’s accomplishments include receiving the Royal Dragonfly Award in 2017 for his illustrative work on the children's book Smile Big Dream Bigger and being featured in Voyage Chicago in 2018. In 2019, he released his first self-written and illustrated children’s book, Paw Paw How Did I Get My Gigabytes.
Expanding internationally, Dismoc Le Ma undertook an art residency in Kenya in 2023, where he spent 36 days learning from the Luo people and collaborating with models on fashion shoots. In 2024, he continued his artistic journey in Tanzania and unveiled his solo exhibition InterMIRRORsection, inspired by his experiences in Kenya. He also organized four poetry nights and curated a group art show in December, showcasing 16 local artists.
In early 2025, Dismoc Le Ma began a new chapter with an art residency in Honduras, continuing his global artistic endeavors while designing for various companies and sharing his creative vision worldwide.
