A Civil Engineer by profession working in the field of design, construction and project management since 1984 up to the PRESENT. With more than 30 years of involvement in programs implemented by national and international organizations, I have gained expertise in project implementation involving Crisis, Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency response, school construction, shelter, WASH, Environmental protection, protected area management, Child-Protection and Education, Community-Based Participatory projects and Project Research.
I worked as Engineer/Architect for the National Integrated Protected Areas Programme (NIPAP), a special project of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the European Union (EU); as Project Manager for the Palawan Topical Forest Protection Programme funded by the European Union; and was a Consultant and Project Manager for the Samar Island Biodiversity Project, a special project of the DENR and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
Given the opportunity to aid in the development projects and UN Peacekeeping Missions, I worked as Project Manager in the United Nations Mission in Sudan and South Sudan (UNMIS and UNMISS) from 2007 to 2013.
After the onslaught of Typhoon Haiyan in 2013, I worked in the Emergency, Recovery and Rehabilitation Projects for the affected communities in Eastern Visayas. I was the Area Coordinator of UNDP for Tacloban Leyte. I then continued to work with the rehabilitation phase of the Disaster with ChilDFund and with FRANCESCO.
Worked as a member of the DSWD Research team focused on the assessment of Shelter Assistance Projects, particularly the Core Shelter Projects implemented by IOM and Habitat for Humanity Philippines for the Bohol Earthquake and the shelter projects for Typhoon Haiyan in Region 8; evaluation of DSWD projects including the effectiveness of the implementation of the Community-Driven approach under Kalahi CIDDS for Region 6 and 8.
For my fulfillment in the field of humanitarian intervention, I created gan organization named HOPE In DOUGH here I gathered a team of volunteers to conduct regular charity works to address basic need of vulnerable individuals. While as a Civil Engineer and Project Manager, I created my own construction team and I am currently involved in the design, development and construction of Solid waste Management thru recycling, Natural Waste Water Treatment and Advanced Sewage Treatment Plants for camps, resorts and other facilities.
