Eric Whitacre's "Deep Field: The Impossible Magnitude of our Universe" is a unique film and musical experience inspired by one of the most important scientific discoveries of all time: the Hubble Telescope's Deep Field image.

BIO:

Taunia is an award-winning professional vocalist, and music educator. She is currently the Director of Music at The Academy at Penguin Hall in Wenham, MA as well as the Director of the Wilmington Community Chorus. She regularly consults and gives seminars on vocal improvisation and using improvisation in the music classroom.

Taunia is an award-winning ASCAP vocalist and songwriter originally from the Boston, MA area. Heralded by jazz greats Herb Pomeroy and Terrance Blanchard as a “powerful vocalist with a warm, rich sound,” and she recently relocated from the Los Angeles, CA area back to the Boston music scene.

She’s been featured in SHAPE Magazine, NH Chronicle Television, The Boston Globe, on ABC’s “The Revolution” with Tim Gunn, as the featured vocalist on the popular PC game "Titan Quest," and on various radio programs and showcased around the globe. She has performed with Wayne Brady, The Persuasions, Rockapella, and many other notable musicians and industry professionals.

Taunia is an active music educator with over twenty-five years teaching experience in both the public and private sector. She is currently the Director of Music atThe Academy at Penguin Hall, which is the only all-female independent college-preparatory high school on the North Shore in New England.
