Divorce Pilipinas Coalition
Lobbyist in Quezon City
Welcome to the Divorce Pilipinas Coalition (DPC).
We are a coalition of different divorce advocacy groups and public pages established as early as 2011 to 2016, united by a common goal of advocating for Divorce and Dissolution of Marriage in the Philippines.
The “Back My Campaign” button serves as our registration platform for individuals who support divorce reform and wish to stand with Filipino families seeking equality, protection, and justice under the law.
You may also check out our Facebook Group Page and advocacy platforms to learn more about our campaigns, activities, and lobbying efforts.
A call to coalesce in 2018 was conceptualized by Ms. Mavi Millora, who began her own advocacy journey for divorce in 2016. One of the first to answer this call was Ms. AJ Alfafara, administrator of Divorce and Dissolution of Marriage PH (DDOMPh), who currently leads the DPC Multimedia Team through PA JEDI.
The coalition was later joined by other leaders from their respective groups and communities, including Ms. MK of APP, Ms. Melody Alan of DAP, Sir Ricky Rollinas representing OFW communities, fellow co-founders, volunteers, and supporters. Many attended consecutive humble meetings near the corner of Shaw Boulevard and EDSA, where discussions on forming a united movement continued.
DPC was founded on the principles of UNITY and UNIFIED ACTION in pushing for Divorce and Dissolution of Marriage legislation in the Philippines, while respecting and maintaining the uniqueness and identity of each member organization and advocacy group.
This remains one of the core principles and themes that the coalition continues to uphold together with its partners, stakeholders, volunteers, and supporters.
