I'm a full time caregiver for my 89 year old husband who has vascular dementia, congestive heart failure, AFib, and diabetes. I remain active with a volunteer group of which I was president 2 years ago. I now contribute my time with computer-related work I can do at home. I continue to play tennis twice a week of which I am very reluctant to give up. I hire 7 hours of additional help during the week to cover my absence when I play tennis or run errands. I hire more time as situations arise during the week. My husband and I share our home with an 8-year old Dachshund, Spencer, and a 20-year old cat, Samantha. We have two daughters together from our marriage. Jack had 4 children by his first marriage. All 6 children are grown and between the two sets of children, there are 11 grandchildren, 8 of which are boys.
