Born in Jinan in the Shandong province of China and moved to the United States at the age of six, Di can be considered either a first generation Chinese American. She has lived in Philadelphia, the Bay Area, San Diego, and Seattle. But there's something different about Seattle that convinced her to be a Seattleite for life. Maybe it's UW. Maybe it's the mountains and the evergreens. Maybe it's the coffee. Whatever it is, anything so captivating must be worth sticking around for.
